Ramadan in Malaysia is OK, the only problem time is the end of Ramadan, KL empties for Hari Raya as everyone heads home.

The Chinese Malays should all be "business as usual", though. Or maybe that's changed.

My manager told me today that he's hired two new guys (from India) to join me in KL.
I just laughed.. they can't organise one beer in a brewery, how will they organise 3.

7 working days left.

Hi TizMe,

Sorry to hear about your family. Hope everything will b ok eventually. I'm a Malaysian so if u need any help on your move or whatever info, pls give me a buzz.

You'll definitely need a return ticket unless you have MM2H or work permit to show immigration (new law). My Stepmum was here last month for hols and they requested for her return ticket at KLIA. Luckily they let her go through seeing that many foreigners were not aware of such new regulation. The fasting month is still bearable but like Stocky said, KL will b empty for Hari Raya. And yes....you'll need to have loads of patience here as Msians love workng at a snail's pace.

Good luck!

Hi vkong13

I love your AV.

Well, my move to KL is cancelled.

My salary package had been approved months ago by management.

The problem is that HR in KL cannot reconcile my package with a job description in Malaysia without making me the CEO. (That’s a bit of exaggeration, but not much..)

So now my management are trying to keep me here in Singapore, which will be a challenge for them considering that they had promised large savings by "right-shoring" me.

Blimey Tiz, this "management" team aren't exactly filling me (or no doubt you) with confidence! Might be an idea to start looking around for something else - just in case this latest "brilliant plan" all goes a bit Pete Tong...

I'm going to Thailand for 2 weeks vacation on Saturday. If they haven't got their act together by the time I come back, then it will be only 3 days at work and then move to Thailand.
