Importing a cat to Vietnam

Hi, we are relocating to Vietnam and need to bring our darling cat with us, we are in the Middle East at the moment and she has had all her chips, shots and rabies tests done so I assume it should be pretty easy to get a pet visa. Has any brought an animal in with them and can you advise what we need to do to get permission?

Also if anyone knows of a good Vet in Da nang also that would be great.

I know this has been done with a dog can't imagine a problem with a meo(means cat in Vietnamese:-). You will need to arrange with the airline first and will almost certainly need a stamped medical certificate in English done shortly (within 1 week) before you leave plus a recent rabies vaccination certificate. When you arrive a couple of fees will be payable and a bit of tea money is sure to keep the wheels turning smoothly.

Thanks for your help, we have managed to organise most of her relocation now. It's not that hard once you have a pet relocations agent in vietnam. They will handle all the customs for the move, and deliver the pet to you. Only problem for us is trying to find one where you we are going to live.

If anyone knows of a good cattery or Vet in Da Nang please let me know,

I have found a good relocations agent in Hanoi if anyone needs the details feel free to ask.
