Singapore proudly hosts the third dirtiest hotel in Asia.

In another attempt to shake off its squeaky clean image, Singapore is proud to be named as the location of the third dirtiest hotel in Asia.

In spite of restrictive hygiene regulations, the prestigious Goldkist Beach Resort is rubbing shoulders with the more established squalid hotels in Chennai, Bangkok and The Philippines. Not only is the Goldkist being recognised for its bed bugs, dirty laundry and broken fixtures, it is also exceeding all expectations in terms of poor customer service and booking errors.

Of course you can’t displease everyone all the time but it looks like Goldkist have come close. Perusing the reviews, it’s hard to find anyone who has a good word to say about the place. I particularly enjoyed this review:

“Upon entering my room, I was greeted by a dead cockroach lying below the coffee table. i went to the toilet, there was no soap, no towel, no toilet paper. I quickly called the front desk to tell them about it. Guess what! She told it's ok, just come to the front desk to collect for myself.”

So Singapore is no longer lagging behind its third world neighbours. Singapore is back on the map of squalor.

Wah lan! Don undersell Singapore lor! Loyal Peacock Hotel in Tanjong Pagar #10 on list also. Two in the top ten, ha!

Damn shiok hojjiber one, lah!

And judging by the reviews the photo's of the "resort" must have been taken within days of the place opening.

Lucky I'm not staying there in a couple of weeks.
