What else should a policeman do in this situation in front of a TV-camera while on duty?
What he did, was correct - he clearly shows that he was hit by her, and he clearly did not hit back, and the other policemen nearby, including a female police officer arrested her, handcuffed and brought her into the police car.
What's wrong with that? What else should police do with a violent woman?

I speak some Cantonese, and I also can read most of the Chinese text, which appears below for non-Cantonese speakers.
The underline text clearly mentions an accident, sightseeing bus and a private car with a female driver 34 years old. Police officers suspected her to be drunk and demanded alcohol-test, what she refused, despite police was asking her several times to do so. Then she was getting angry, she was starting to shut at them also in English and said, 'I don't care. I need to leave' It's fine, OK, OK etc. When she was turning around, walking away, a policeman stopped her by standing in her way and he was slapped by her and she was arrested and sent to the police station for investigation.

This car is not a HongKong Taxi, but a private car. She was the driver and probably drunk, the damaged bus is correctly on the left side of the street, and the private car is on the wrong side of the street.

Is Hongkers like the rest of East Asia where the lines on the road are merely a suggestion of where your car should be?
I've read and heard some pretty horrific tails of cars rounding blind corners at night to be confronted by another vehicle heading straight for them overtaking a third one. We were actually involved in an accident just like that in Singapore in 1972. If my kid brother hadn't been asleep against my shoulder he could have been seriously injured.
I've just looked at the clip again. There is a bend in the road and the woman from the Infinity does look a bit drunk- or maybe shaken by the accident. And the copper is a wuss- that was nowhere near to being a full-on slap and he goes down like a sack of spuds.

It says she refused a breathalyzer test and attacked a police officer. Are you allowed to refuse a test in US? I could be wrong, but she has an US accent.

No, not at all, there is a lot of traffic in HK, roads are OK, but a good part of HK area is very hilly with narrow streets and curves, you have to drive carefully and sometimes slowly, especially during night and to be drunk is a serious offence.

What else should he do facing a camera-recording while doing his job? Any idea?
He must clearly demonstrate, that he did not hit her first and then that he did not hit back.
This video is very clear about that, and I am sure, this woman will face shortly some problems - this is not only a police fine, but a court trial - and to be drunk, means that the insurance will not pay for the damage of her car and will show up to recollect the damage of the bus.
It's not about what the policeman did, but about what this irresponsible woman did.

Yes, the text clearly mentions that she was the driver and that she refused the test.
In USA or EU etc. (and in HongKong too, I think) you might refuse the test, how to force you anyway? But if you refuse the test police will arrest you on the spot and any judge will find you guilty of drunk driving because of your refusal.
What does this woman think, who she is? A princess or what? Causing a traffic accident with serious damages, refusing the test and telling the police, 'I don't care, I have to leave now', and walk away?

That officer is a wuss. . if a lady slapped me and I was an officer.. I'd tackle and handcuff her in 2 seconds. People need to learn to respect the police. If you are wronged, work it out in court.
