Well Air Asia had a sale and I bought a few tix to Saigon for this fall. Not bad just over 3000bt r/t from Bangkok.

Anyways love to have input on MUST DO(s) in Saigon. (tourist attractions/restaurants/bars/discos ect)

I only spent one night in HCMC last year while blasting through en route to Hanoi. I spent the evening sitting at the bar on the ground floor of Crazy Buffalo on the intersection of Tham/Bui Vien... One of the best 'Alone and downtown at night in Asia' experiences I can remember, just watching the world go by while working on a few beers

I’d recommend a few drinks in the evening atop the Rex Hotel in the Centre of Sai Gon it really is a bit of a cliché but it is a must do. Hopefully they will have some live music, you really can’t beat a Filipina Sinatra tribute act! Also try a few drinks at the Sheratons roof top bar, some amazing views and an amazing Mojito combines to make it a fantastic experience. Q bar is a decent enough place to round off the evening. As for places to see during the day, the War remnants museum is definitely worth a visit, as is the reunification palace. I’d also recommend taking afternoon tea at the continental always a good way to pass an afternoon. As for eats you have to try Pho, Pho 24 is a somewhat sterile version of the whole Pho experience but it does serve pretty decent Pho, failing that you could tie in a visit to Ben Thanh market with a visit to Pho 2000 which is near by. Avoid PNL like the plague, that is unless you crave the company of the irritating backpacker crowd.
