Australia Visa Agent Fees - Getting shafted again?visa fees to visit oz?

What the hell is verification of bank statements? I sent latest statements.

AUD 340,- is not so much money for processing a tourist visa, but Australia requires visa from almost every foreigner and requires high deposit for long-stay like retirement.
Verification of statements and documents? There are plenty of fakes...
Private relationship over the border costs money, except there are some special contracts like within EU, or maybe Australia and NewZealand. Expect rising visa fees, next year you will pay more than this year for sure.

That's how I do it for my wife to come over to Oz.
Only drama I have is I have to put up a $5000 bond to ensure she leaves the country by the date on her ticket.
That came about due to her being refused a residency visa a long time ago.

Then passport taken to Embassy for visa.

Freaking out at having to front up at any Govt. office with my molten ball of a passport (not stolen or lost) i still had to pay 2.140,000vnd for a lost passport, even though i had the original in my hand + 2.140,000vnd for an emergency passport to return home. The next morning she rang at 9am saying passport is there to pick up. Best service from any Govt. office ever.(i recommend visiting the HCMC office for any problems. Then again, she did laugh and almost fell off her chair when i produced my leftover passport, may-be she felt sorry for me! Your 2nd post about on-line applications ETA's dont apply to Vietnam/Phillipines/ or half of south-east Asia for that matter
I just have to pay AGAIN as i'm not there to negotiate or do it for her by-passing the rip-off merchants, For me to get a visa to leave VN is another drama for another time, Iwould never want any-one to go through that as Aust Conulate is so helpfull and efficient, then things turn for the worst!
calm.i kow that she must by-pass arseh#les that just see a way of swindling more money from me but are they asking more or just applying the normal rate for their service? $350 seems a bit steep for a visa ? to visit Austalia!

Go online to Oz immigration and research it all. Are you engaged ?? Have you considered bringing Tham over to Oz and getting married in Oz ?? This way you could apply for a different class of visa. Or a multiple entry visa ??
Immigration aurthorities in Oz much prefer online applications as they are easily traced. You can also keep track of how the application is proceeding.
It may be that the Vietnamese authorities are insisting applications are done in country.

My recommend to apply for a visa to any country is to apply directly to the embassy (except tourist visa to Vietnam). I got bad experience to use the service of travel agent, they always find the reason to get more money apart from visa and service fee.
@stumpy: I am not sure if online visa to Australia is for people from all other countries or it is just allowed for some specific countries?

The paperwork is in both english and vn. Can your miss's lodge her paperwork there?
I did my sons Oz citizenship paperwork there. My wife didn't believe how simple and easy it was (I know it wasn't any visa paperwork)
Perhaps tell your miss's to go through them. It doesn't cost extra.

Is he asking for more of the same paperwork or new ?? May be getting info so he can scam someone.
Perhaps the Oz embassy have a list of recommended agents that you can use.

1. Give away 2,000,000 vnd and apply herself to get exeprience for next visa applications in the future either for herself or her family (if any). OR
2. Continue with him and pay him more as he requested.

She is required to leave on or before the visa expiry date. When she leaves the money is transferred back into my account 3 days later.
