Hong Kong Airport Express Trains
The Hong Kong Airport Express is effectively just another line of the MTR (Mass Transit Rail) although it wasn't designed to be part of the commuter network as it only really serves the airport. The line terminates at Hong Kong Island's Central district. This fact is reflected in the separate, much higher fare system for this line. It provides a very quick service into Hong Kong compared to taking the bus. The time taken to travel from Chek Lap Kok Airport to Central is 24 minutes at the time of writing. This short journey time is useful for people who choose to take advantage of downtown airline check in facilities.
If you decide to pay the extra to use the Airport express, you will be rewarded with large, comfortable seats, ample room for luggage, passenger friendly stations. Each seat is fitted with miniature televisions, displaying information on flights the progress of your train journey and current news.
Hours of operation are 0550 to 0115 daily and run at 12 minute intervals.
