Nearly all major banks are represented in Hong Kong. To open an account locally, your passport and an address will suffice although some will expect to see a work permit and/or residence permit.

ATM's are everywhere. All of the ATM networks are represented. VISA, Mastercard, AMEX are all widely used and accepted.
