West Coast

Including Clementi, Queensland, Pasir Panjang and Dover, the commute to the city centre should take no more than 30 minutes, as access to the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) is easy. Also, it is well served by the MRT.

A close knit community atmosphere and sea breezes are enjoyed by expatriates in Pasir Panjang, where recreational facilities at the West Coast Park, the Singapore Yacht Club, the Labrador Nature Reserve and Tanjong Perlayar Park further enhance the area. Fish markets, cafes, restaurants and pubs are on offer in the centre. A downside of living here is the proximity to the docks and cargo terminals create some noise.

Expatriates will often find that rentals are somewhat more affordable than other comparable areas and is often preferred by families with children and/or pets, as good houses with gardens/yards are available. For pet owners, The Mount Pleasant Animal Clinic is close by and trails and parks are here to exercise both yourself and your dog.
