Woodlands in Singapore

Woodlands, also known as the Woodlands New Town, is suburban and situated at the Northern end of Singapore. It has one of the largest malls in Singapore, called Causeway Point, which serves the many towers of the area. It is connected to Malaysia by the Johor-Singapore Causeway. From there you can take the train to Kuala Lumpur.

It is particularly popular with American expatriates due to the fact that the Singapore American School is nearby. The Town has an independent feel to it due to its relative distance from the city and many of the shops are geared towards the high expat population. In fact, places like the Woodgrove Estate and Woodgrove Condo are populated mostly by expatriates and the MRT is convenient.

Century Woods is popular with people seeking terraced houses rather than condos and they have small gardens, swimming pools and other advantages you'd expect from this type of accommodation.
