Hospitals in Singapore
Singapore enjoys a very well established and advanced healthcare system that is considered to have some of the highest standards in the world and is the envy of the region. Doctors are well qualified and often trained in the finest educational establishments the world over.
Accident and emergency facilities are usually located in the government run hospitals. For scheduled and routine treatment, you are free to choose from hospitals in the public or private sector, depending on your needs and the amount you are willing to spend. You can usually walk in without an appointment for a consultation in a private clinic
Many places stock pharmaceuticals including supermarkets and hotels. Pharmacies are often open very late into the evening.
For expatriates, all hospitals offer a choice of your own room or one shared with a few others. Although government hospitals are generally cheaper than private ones, you will pay a premium on top of what a local Singaporean would pay.

Alexandra Hospital: Located in the south west of Singapore, this 400 bed facility has a tranquil setting and is lined with many colonial buildings
