Greenery House Apartments
When looking for a place to live in a noisy city like Bangkok, finding a quiet apartment in pleasant surroundings is a rarity. This is one of the main reasons our first impression of Greenery House was a very positive one. Built in a quiet soi, well away from the main road, you instantly get the feeling you've walked into a quiet, green oasis away from the madness of city life.
It's actually quite a small low rise building in a U-shape and just two floors in height. In the centre is a nice swimming pool with established trees, flowers and shrubbery. Near the pool is a small fitness room.
Greenery House is well into middle age now but the original build quality of the rooms was very high and so they are wearing their age very well. Solid wood doors, parquet and marble flooring, fitted wardrobes, European style bathrooms, all add to the overall feel of quality.
There are a range of apartments available here to suit most needs, from very small studio apartments to much larger 3 bedroom apartments. All are air-conditioned, have a balcony, cable TV, WiFi Internet access, direct line phones and maid/laundry service.
The overall feeling of this property is one of peace and tranquility. The swimming pool is lovely and hardly anyone uses it because the housing here is low density. The staff are very friendly and they all seem to have good English language skills, even the security guard on the gate.
Sutthisan MRT station is a 10 minute journey away by motorbike or taxi, or you could walk there in 30 minutes if you're a strong walker. There are shopping malls and supermarkets nearby.
Greenery House gets the thumbs up from Orient Expat... highly recommended and one of the best deals in town.
